Slow Room Valencia

Pros: It had an outdoor raised terrace, which would have been good if the weather wasn’t so awful. But that is not their fault.

Pros: Everything, clean, tidy and organised. Clear instructions for use of shared amenities. I felt welcomed and comfortable!

Cons: I think there was a malfunction with the window blind? I couldn’t get it close after opening fully?

Pros: The communication with the host. The cleanliness of shared bathrooms and kitchen. Basic room with balcony, clean and comfortable. The place located in a working-class neighborhood that allows me to mingle with locals. Very close to the Cami de Montcada street where you can have a good breakfast in one of those panaderias or enjoy a good coffee. Restaurants, supermarkets and corner shops are also to be found around. Bus stops next to the place and about a 30 minute walk to Torres de Serranos (Turia garden)

Cons: Noisy guests! Slamming doors late at night, using hairdryer at 01:00 am... It's no use to send house rules through Booking, people don't mind that anyway. Host should post internal rules reminders clearly in every room and shared spaces instead. Maybe using felt pad on the door frame to cushion impact, and also lubricate hinges to reduce noise. All this could make the place way more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.

In short, it is nice, comfortable and Geovanna is ready if you need anything.

Pros: The overall experience at Slow Room was comfortable and pleasing. Geovanna is extremely helpful and she quickly responds to your needs. I loved the cleanliness and comfort depending on the room you are staying in. I was very lucky because my stay there was during a low season, the facility wasn’t fully booked, so maximum comfort and privacy.

Cons: Something I noticed and worth mentioning is that the complaints I heard from people staying there at the same time as me were mostly from people who booked quickly without reading enough about the property. They came in with their own expectations and didn’t really know enough about the space they booked, and I found that interesting. Everything described about the property is 100% true. The complaints are about not doing enough research before booking, not really about the property. The outside noise can be a little too much, so make sure you wear something during sleep. Another last thing, the outside of the property isn’t really appealing, so just you know, the inside is perfectly as described.

Great place and great owners

Pros: We stayed in room A. It was spacious, bright, and had a TV with Chromecast (which was very important for us because, due to a flood alert, we spent most of the day in the room). The hostel was clean, with a shared, well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. It was quiet, and the external blinds were blackout ones. You can hear some sounds from the corridor, but since we were mostly alone during our stay, it wasn’t a problem. The location is great — very close to a bus stop. The host was very kind, helpful, and responded very quickly to our messages.

Perfect stay in a quiet Valencia neighborhood

Pros: Location was ideal for our purpose. Beautiful old apartment which was recently renovated. It was such a joy to be welcomed by the host and her mother!

Cons: Quite a challenge if you have a lot of luggage, as you'll have to carry them up a flight of narrow stairs.

Decent accommodation

Pros: Geovana & her mother work tirelessly to keep the guesthouse exceptionally clean, super friendly as well. The bed was comfortable, straightforward check-in, Lidl & other supermarkets are minutes away, peaceful sleep with air con 😴 rooftop terrace was a great addition 👍🏻

Cons: The only downside was the location especially in 35*C heat 🥵 I knew it before booking but used uber half the time to save the legs …. It’s a 25 min walk minimum to anywhere of interest …

Exceptional hospitality and a lovely stay!

Pros: My favorite part about this accommodation was Geovanna and her mother :) They were cleaning every day and always took the time to chat with us a little—so kind, warm, and genuinely caring. You can really tell they put their heart into making sure guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. We had a small issue with the AC, and Geovanna responded immediately to help us fix it. We also asked for an iron, and they provided it right away. Everything we needed, they took care of quickly and with a smile. A big plus: Geovanna speaks English very well, which really helped us during our stay, especially since that’s not always the case when traveling in Spain. Highly recommend—thank you for everything! ❤️

Great stay

Pros: Quiet and very clean. Close to supermarket and grocery shops

Cons: Nothing. Toaster in kitchen would have been handy.
